Our Vattenfall International Trainee Programme 2017 offers 25 trainee positions. Each trainee position is linked to a department within a business area. Within the programme we strive to maximize your personal growth and development both in individual and group context with top management attention.
The SKB department is responsible for dealing with all radioactive waste from nuclear power plants in Sweden. Nuclear fuel has the responsibility of implementing the KBS-3 programme. This involves planning and construction of nuclear facilities in Östhammar and Oskarshamn.
As a Trainee Nuclear fuel repository system optimization you will take an active part in the client organisation for the final repository for spent nuclear fuel. Your responsibilities will include responsibility for required analyses, logistics, compilation of basis for technical decisions and business case.
• Project management and cooperation in improvement projects (e.g. asset management)
• Support of strategic development projects and processes
• Cost analyses
• Implementation of project management model VPMM
• Development of ideas for the optimization of business processes
� Support of management in change processes

We are looking for you when you are top of your class, you graduate before September 2017 and have an academic degree. You are fluent in business English and Dutch. Additional fluent world language skills, other than English, is a merit. In the trainee programme we want to mirror society in general. As a Trainee Nuclear fuel repository system optimization you recognize yourself in the following qualifications:
- Education focus preferably mechanical or civil engineering
- Business education, preferably in economics
- Proven interest in environmental issues with preference for the handling of spent nuclear fuel or radioactive waste
- Result driven with ability to prioritize and reach deadlines
- High energy, independent working style and ability to cope with uncertainty

In the trainee programme you will take part in international workshops and a number of site visits during the seminar weeks. Last day to apply is February 24th 2017. After applying you will be informed about the exact timeline of the recruitment process. In the first phase you will be invited for an analytical skills test, a video assignment and a phone interview. After you have passed all three steps, we will invite you for an interview around mid-April. An assessment is also part of the recruitment process and will take place in the last week of April. The recruitment process will be finalized around the first week of May. The last step will be a pre-employment screening. Starting date of the Vattenfall International Trainee Programme will be September 1st 2017.
